Langley School project description:
Langley School, situated in Solihull, embarked on a mission to revamp their school’s external signage and internal wall art displays to better align with their branding and communicate their commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). The leadership team recognised the need for a cohesive and impactful visual identity throughout the school. To realise this vision, they turned to our team at Design for Education.
The Langley School had clear objectives for this project, which revolved around two core aspects. Firstly, they aimed to enhance consistency and brand alignment by making their external signage and waymarking more uniform and harmonious with their established branding, thus creating a cohesive visual identity across the entire campus. Secondly, they sought to promote their commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) through inspiring wall displays that would effectively communicate the school’s EDI promise to both students and staff, fostering a deeper understanding and engagement with these essential values.
What was unique about this school signage project:
What made this project unique from others undertaken by Design for Education was the school’s emphasis on EDI and the need to create visually appealing yet educational displays. The project was not solely about updating aesthetics but also about conveying a powerful message aligned with the school’s core values.
Wall art and school signage showcase:
Here are the wall art and signage designs we created for Langley School. These designs not only refreshed the school’s visual appearance but also conveyed the EDI promise in a creative and engaging manner.
Testimonial from Sarah Moore, Langley School:
“I’d like to say a big thank you for the amazing wall art and signage that you did for us. It looks brilliant and has been admired by all of our teachers and students. I would also like to say how nice the two men who fitted it were, and we are really happy with the quality and fitting of the wall art and signage is exceptional. It’s been a pleasure to work with you on this.”
Sarah Moore’s feedback exemplifies the satisfaction and success of this project. Langley Schools vision for updated external signage, wall art, and their commitment to EDI was not only met but exceeded by Design for Education. The project now stands as a testament to the power of creative design in educational settings.
At Design for Education, we are proud to have played a role in helping Langley Academy achieve its goals and are committed to continuing our mission of transforming educational environments through innovative and purpose-driven design.
