Gorseybrigg Primary School invested in a World UK map with an area showing the local area. EYFS world map to go outside into the playground area and a history timeline following their curriculum.
The wall for the world map was a big area which able us to zoom on in smaller snippets of information ie the area where the school is located. They also wanted to show local industries around key points of interest. These bespoke maps can be tailored to your curriculum. Gorseybrigg Primary School wanted us to link the map to environmental impact, human and natural disasters. The map was created for the school corridor so we could make it very colourful to draw the children in to engage with the map at it as they walk through. They particularly liked the local area map as they were trying to work out where they lived.
EYFS World map brief was to create a simple world map with animals on from different parts of the world and an indication where they can be found in the world. A fun learning aid for the EYFS children.
The History timeline was bespoke for the school with the usual historical points from the curriculum. The school wanted particular links to the climate change campaigners and cornavirus!
