Springs Academy is a prominent secondary school in Sheffield. They embarked on a creative journey to revitalise their school environment using wall art. The school’s leadership sought to transform their learning space, adding vibrant and educational elements to captivate and inspire students. For this innovative project, Sheffield Springs Academy partnered with our team at Design for Education.

The school’s objectives for this project were distinctive and forward-thinking:
Atrium transformation:Â A standout feature was the creation of a captivating cityscape of Sheffield within the atrium. This detailed mural included all the city’s main focal points, alongside a section highlighting what makes Sheffield famous, including its iconic Henderson Relish and renowned local personalities.
Embracing multiculturalism:Â Sheffield Springs Academy aimed to celebrate its diverse student body through art. The project was designed to reflect the school’s multicultural and inclusive ethos.
Classroom wrap:Â A significant element of the project was the complete transformation of classroom spaces. This encompassed the Mathematics, Science, and English classrooms, including windows and cupboards. This innovative approach aimed to create immersive and engaging learning environments.
Our project with Sheffield Springs Academy stood out for its creativity and inclusivity. The decision to wrap entire classrooms represented a unique and immersive approach to engaging students through art and learning.
