Birkdale School had a specific vision in mind for their common room and locker room areas. They sought to celebrate their local area of Sheffield and create a sense of pride and connection with the local community. Challenges with this project:
What set this project apart from others was the location. The common and locker rooms were located in a basement, which presented a unique set of challenges. Common Room Transformation: In the Common Room, we integrated designs that celebrated the landscapes of the school’s local area. This involved creating engaging wall art and designs that created a space to foster a sense of pride and belonging among the students.
Locker Room Redesign: The Locker Room, often overlooked in school environments, received special attention. We transformed this space into a visual journey through the cityscape of Sheffield and its famous landmarks. The locker room now serves as a space that has utility but also educates and inspires.
