In the receptionclass the childrenareprovidedwithawide range of educational

Years FoundationStage curriculum. FromYear 1onwards, teaching and learning
is in linewith theNational Curriculum. Wherepossible, cross-curricular links
aremade between subjects and taught through topicwork. Other subjects, for
examplemathematics, are taught as discrete subjects.
Homework
Homework is set inaccordancewithgovernment guidelines and the style,
content andqualityof homework change as the childrenprogress though
school. We askparents to support their children’s educationby encouraging
themto read regularly, to learn theirweekly spellings, to learn their times
tables and to completehomework activities.Our homeworkpolicy statement
