Allmembers of staffhave responsibility for childprotectionand receive
training inchildprotectionprocedures. Legislationmeans thatwehave a
duty to report any concerns thatwemayhave regarding a child’swelfare to
the relevant agencies.
HealthandSafety
Qualifiedfirst aiders deal withallminor accidents but parents are always
contacted if there is anemergency. For this reason it is important thatwe
are informedof any change of address or telephonenumber.
Beingmindful of thehealthand safetyof all our children, we operate ano
smokingpolicy for all staffandvisitors. We also askparents not topark in
the school car parkor tobringdogs onto the school site.
Reporting toParents
Parents arewelcome in school and the teachers areusually available at short
notice tomeetwithparents. However parents are askednot to enter into a long
discussionwitha teacher just before school or to come into school to talk to a teacher
whilst school is in session.
There are also twoopportunities for parents todiscuss their child’s progresswith the
class teacher, one in the autumn termand the other during the spring term.
Towards the endof the summer termparents receive awritten report
relating to their child’s progress that year.
