New technologies have become integral to the
lives of children and young people in our society.
Becoming confident with this technology is
essential if children are going to be equippedwith
the necessary skills they need in theworkplace.
At Hayfield Lane all pupils have access to ICT to
enhance their work and learning opportunities in
all areas of the curriculum. Each classroomhas an
interactive CleverTouch board and a class set of
IPads are available to the children in
classrooms.Aswell as this we also have a computer suitewhich
supports the delivery of computing sessions.
Children are also encouraged to access ICT
resources fromhome using programmes like
PurpleMash to enhance their skills across
the curriculum.
Safety is extremely important whilst using
these technologies and thereforewe teach
children the fundamentals of keeping safe
when using the internet.
