The Brief
Ash Green School identified a clear issue: the approach to the science department felt flat, dated and disconnected from the quality of teaching within classrooms.

The Design Process – Listening First
Every successful project begins with clarity. During consultation, we explored the school’s science progression model, curriculum sequencing and subject priorities.
Rather than overwhelming the space with imagery, we structured the design around clarity and hierarchy — ensuring key concepts were readable, purposeful and age-appropriate.
Designing with Intent
The final secondary science wall art concept was built around three pillars:
- Curriculum Visibility – Prominent display of biology, chemistry and physics strands.
- Scientific Vocabulary – Reinforcing tiered terminology in a subtle but constant way.
- Aspirational Messaging – Celebrating curiosity, experimentation and discovery.

The Installation
A science department entrance is a high-traffic zone. Durability and finish quality were paramount.
We installed:
