We believe that good behaviour is of paramount importance.

We expect children to behave in a responsible manner,

showing respect for everyone in school, both children and

adults. This respect should also include equipment and

property belonging to the school, individuals or the

community.

Concerns about unacceptable behaviour will be

brought to the attention of parents, who will

be invited into school to discuss the situation

and work with the school towards a positive

outcome. We place emphasis on the positive

approach to behaviour, as this also develops

self-esteem and self-discipline. Every class

negotiates their class code of behaviour

each year and places it on display, providing

clear guidelines about what is expected of

them, while we have core school rules which

permeate across all aspects of school.

We operate a wide range of rewards fromweekly

‘Star of theWeek’ certificates to our ‘Outstanding

Achievers’ awards of lunch in a local restaurant with

the Headteacher!
