We aim to balance classes in terms of the gender, ethnicity and academic

ability of the children. At times within a child’s career at Chapel Allerton

cohorts may be rearranged in order for children to gain new experiences

and widen their friendship groups.

Our school is divided into Phases:

School Organisation

We have a 52 place Foundation One (Nursery) which children can start the

term after they turn three. To place your child’s name on the Foundation

One waiting list please come to school between 9.30am and 3.00pm any

day to register. Please note that we can only take children’s names after their

second birthday.

Foundation Two (Reception) is the beginning of full time education for children

who will turn 5 during the academic year.

Foundation Stage

Key Stage 1 consists of Year 1 and 2. At the end of

this phase children take part in the national Year 2

Reading, Writing and Maths tests.

Key Stage 1

Children in Years 3 and 4 are in Early KS2 and later

KS2 consists of Years 5 and 6. At the end of Year 6

children take part in KS2 tests and are supported

with the transition to high school.
