Every Day Every
Child Matters
‘Every Child Matters’
is at the heart of
Royd Nursery Infant School.
Every Child Matters is part of the Government
framework for education and has 5 key outcomes
that we promote.
1. Enjoy and Achieve
2. Be Healthy
3. Stay Safe
4. Make a Positive Contribution
5. Achieve Economic Well-Being
Enjoy and Achieve
We aim to ensure that all children enjoy their
learning and achieve their potential.
OFSTED reported that the School
‘provides an exciting curriculum full of
challenge that meets the needs of all
children and results in their excellent
personal development and well being’
The children in School enjoy and learn from the
varied educational visits offered. They learn from
the visitors who come into School from different
backgrounds and cultures.
The curriculum allows pupils to ask questions,
solve problems and develop life skills. Pupils’ steer
their learning. The School is inclusive of all pupils.
Our aim for all pupils to achieve is reflected in the
high attainment of the pupils.
Be Healthy
At Royd all children are encouraged to follow a
healthy life style. The children enjoy two hours of
PE each week. There are many After School clubs
throughout the year for football, dancing, martial
arts and hockey. The School has a Healthy Eating
Policy and the curriculum supports the children’s
understanding of a healthy diet.
