Extra-Curricular
Activities
AtWolvey though English andMaths are the central ingredients of our curriculum
we believe that children should have the opportunity to shine in other areas,
whether these arewithin the school day or as an extra-curricular activity.
Children have the opportunity to take upmusic lessons in violin or guitar and
join the school choir.
Experiencing a range of different sports is our aim. In school time children
mainly inYear 3 and 4 attend swimming sessions and after school clubs
include dancing, badminton and dodge ball. Children can also compete
in football, netball and other disciplines against local schools.
Older children can attend a residential where they experience all sorts
of challenges fromhighwires to rafting. This promotes a new found
confidence and a sense of independence.
We alsomake good use of our school grounds with the children
encouraged to explore all the open spaces and our wildlife area.
